ARTICLES

 

Use the library's databases to locate articles on a specific topic.  When you research a topic in a database, you are searching thousands of journals, magazines and newspapers at once. 

 

An individual journal can be a good place to start your research if you don't have a topic in mind.

   POPULAR AND PEER REVIEWED ARTICLES

  • Academic Search Premier - articles in a wide range of subject areas.
  • CINAHL Plus - articles in the fields of nursing and allied health.  Includes legal cases, drug records, research instruments and clinical trials.
  • Health & Wellness Resource Center - journals, newspapers, alternative medicine-focused magazines, videos and reference information.
  • Health Reference Center Academic - articles from nursing, allied health and medical journals; consumer health magazines; selected newsletters, pamphlets, and newspaper articles; topical overviews; and core reference books.
  • Health Source: Consumer Ed. -  consumer health information on many health topics including the medicas sciences, food sciences & nutrition, childcare, sports medicine and general health.

 

   PEER REVIEWED ARTICLES

  • Health Source: Nursing/Academic - scholarly, full-text medical journals and drug education sheets for 1300 generic drugs and 4700 brand names.
  • psycARTICLES- journal articles published by the American Psychological Association, the APA Educational Publishing Foundation, Canadial Psychological Association and more
  • Science Direct- journal articles in the sciences and social sciences
