A database is a collection of articles from:

  • magazines
  • journals
  • books
  • newspapers
  • and more

Most databases are searchable by keyword, subject, author, title and/or date.

The library subscribes to databases for a fee.  Off-campus users will be prompted to enter a user id and password to access databases.  Off-campus database use is limited to members of the College community (SCCC part-time and full-time students, faculty and staff.)

If you need help accessing library databases, call the reference desk at 518-381-1239 or Ask Us 24/7.
