Albany Civic Theater is preparing for the November showing of Five Women Wearing the Same Dress, which promises to fill the intimate 122 seat theater to capacity.
Capital Rep
Located in down-town Albany, Capital Rep is professional yet not-for-profit and has served the area community with high quality theater for decades.
Park Playhouse
A summer favorite of the capital region, Park Playhouse offers theater in Albany's Washington Park. Lawn seating is free and the high attendance proves each summer proves Park Playhouse is succeeding in their mission to expose theater to a wide and diverse audience.
Proctors
One of the capital region's crown jewels, Proctors Theatre is stately and historic and has undergone a mini-renaissance through restoration efforts in the last several years. The 2009/10 season is filled with Broadway quality productions and the facility also offers moives courtesy of the new GE Theatre.
Schenectady Light Opera Company
Schenectady Light Opera Company is located on Schenectady's State Street and has produced over 500 plays since 1926. The current location of this non-profit seats about 260 people and provides the audience with an intimate, up close experience of the performance.

Palace Theatre
Despite being constructed during the Great Depression, the Palace Theatre's stunning design and striking brass chandelier reflect splendor and opulence more than anything else. Events include everything from comedians to plays and musicals, movies, and orchestras. It is located in downtown Albany on Clinton Avenue and is accessible from 90 and 87.
The Linda
WAMC's performing arts studio features film, debate, theater, and musical performances. Performances small scale and seating is limited to less than 300 people, but there are a few events scheduled each week of the calendar.
